"…the Indian Head Massage workshop (which also included neck, shoulder and back massage) which was one of our best ever house activities - we not only had a massage, we also learned the art form ourselves."
Student Participant, St Mary's Calne
Indian head massage workshops have proved very popular in schools and colleges, especially in the run-up to exams.
In a safe and supportive setting, students learn a simple but comprehensive series of strokes applied to the head, shoulders, upper back, neck and arm areas.
Typically a workshop lasts one and a half hours – during which each student learns to give a massage, and each student receives a massage.
For schools, the workshops can also include a simple introduction to the fascinating relationships between body, mind and emotions.
Oxford University colleges I have taught at include Keeble, Queens and Lady Margaret Hall. Schools I have taught at include St Mary’s Calne, St Mary’s School Ascot, Headington School and Downe House.
I am happy to travel outside Oxfordshire.
